Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reassured Fred he will be given the chance to contribute to the Manchester United's run-in after the Brazilian midfielder was left out of the squad at Fulham.

When Paul Pogba returned to Manchester United at the start of the 2018-19 season as a World Cup victor, every Manchester United fan had a single question in their mind: Will Paul Pogba be able to replicate his France heroics at the Theater of Dreams?

Solskjaer has previously commented on Fred's situation at United, suggesting he simply needs time to adjust to life in the Premier League.

Anthony Martial has the talent to reach Cristiano Ronaldo's level, according to interim Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Do you think Man United will secure a top-four finish this season? We're really happy to have him here with us.

Co-owner Avram Glazer travelled to Craven Cottage for Man United's 3-0 win over Fulham over the weekend and spoke with both Solskjaer and his agent Jim Solbakken after the game.

They did so in a big way, acquiring Gasol for a pretty low price. Valanciunas, Wright and Miles can become free agents next season. At the very least he should be a rotation piece going forward.

France global Anthony Martial - who had only shown glimpses on his talent under Mourinho - says Solskjaer has released the shackles.

The Red Devils host the French champions in their Champions League round of 16 first leg tomorrow night (8pm).

Here's a translation of what Martial said to the media and the questions he was asked. I said to the boys: "'If we keep working every day in training, we can improve and maybe surprise a few [teams]'".

But for now all the focus is on PSG - a tie in which United's hopes have been helped by injuries to key forwards Neymar and Edinson Cavani for the visitors. That is my job, after all, to make the difference to be more decisive.

"I don't think we are necessarily favourites", Martial said. "The crowd want to see the best players".

"I have played a couple of games when we played Real Madrid and (Brazil's) Ronaldo and (Luis) Figo and all those were coming to Old Trafford".
