NBA Trade Grades: Wizards sending Otto Porter Jr. to Bulls

Washington has clearly made a U-turn from their initial trade deadline plans of holding onto Porter Jr., likely triggered by the news of John Wall rupturing his Achilles and need 11-15 months of recovery.

Washington traded Porter to the struggling Chicago Bulls on Wednesday for Parker and Portis.

Porter, 25, is averaging 12.6 points and 5.6 rebounds in 41 games this season. With Wall set to miss an entire year and potentially more, there was added incentive for the Wizards to shed Porter's contract. He has shot 36.9 percent from 3-point range. Whereas, Bobby & Jabari will be restricted free agents this Summer.

With the Parker SF experiment failing, the only threes on the Chicago Bulls roster was rookie Chandler Hutchison and newly-acquired Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot.

MA "seriously concerned" about impact of No Deal Brexit
The EU is looking to protect its single market and has said the backstop would only be a temporary arrangement. Tusk in Brussels, where both leaders addressed the ongoing Brexit negotiations.

Parker has been in and out of the Bulls' rotation recently and the team had reportedly been looking to move him. Originally selected with the 22nd overall pick by the Bulls in the 2015 NBA Draft out of Arkansas, Portis averaged 17.5 points and 8.9 rebounds as a sophomore to earn SEC Player of the Year honors. He will help them and fits with their pieces-it's just that Chicago should be more interested in draft assets and cheaper young talent based on where they're at in the rebuild.

In the 2018 offseason, Parker signed a two-year $40 million contract with the Bulls, but the second year of the deal is a team option. Parker, the No. 2 overall pick in 2014, has appeared in 39 games this season and is averaging 14.3 points and 6.2 rebounds in under 27 minutes per game.

With Portis and Parker, the Wizards acquired two players who have flashed potential but also have struggled in the National Basketball Association.
