Ariana Grande has been known to be a bit of a diva but ya know who tops her divaness?

Grande concluded her diatribe by sharing her gratitude for the Recording Academy's recognition: She's up for best pop vocal album for her acclaimed LP Sweetener, as well as best pop solo performance for "God Is a Woman".

The women nominees this year are Gaga, Grande, Cardi B, and Camila Cabello.

Grande's absence from the awards would be a noticeable one, as the pop star has been at the forefront of public consciousness for much of the past year due to multiple personal events as well as a new level of professional success. She is looking forward to seeing all her fans and delivering an unforgettable performance.

During an interview with Billboard a year ago, Ariana made it very clear that she is not a pushover in the industry.

Ariana Grande has reportedly turned down the chance to perform at the GRAMMYs, following a dispute with producers of the show.

She's also sure to be hoping for success at the music awards - as she's up for five gongs.

After some heavy negotiation, they eventually approved of the tune, as long as it was part of a medley songs and they insisted on selecting her second song.

With album Thank U, Next set to drop just two days after the show, a performance in front of millions could have been a nice way to advertise her new music. Apparently, Grande was unhappy with this, as this was not something other performers were dealing with. Grande's decision to relieve herself of duty has not gone unnoticed.
