Roger Stone Raged At Comedian's Pooch

Trump adviser Roger Stone arrested on seven charges

Stone, with his self-professed political dirty tricks and the tattoo of Richard Nixon on his back, has long lurked in the shadows of Donald Trump's world and was instrumental in guiding him on his first steps to the White House. He is expected to appear in court later today.

One colorful section of the 24-page indictment details Stone's alleged witness tampering of "Person 2", in which Stone warns that prosecutors will take away the intermediary's beloved dog and tells him, when testifying before the House Intelligence Committee, to pull a "Frank Pentangeli", a character in "The Godfather: Part II" who pretends he doesn't know critical information that he does, in fact, know.

USA prosecutors, in the court filing, accused Stone of lying to Congress about his public statements and communications with others suggesting he may have had advance knowledge of plans by Wikileaks to release hacked emails and obstructing Congress' work. "That is incorrect. Any error I made in my testimony would be both immaterial and without intent".

CNN aired video of the raid at Stone's home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, showing agents in body armor using large weapons and night-vision equipment, running up to the home and banging on the door.

STONE received an email from the high-ranking Trump Campaign official asking about the status of future releases by Organization 1.

"I am falsely accused", Stone said outside the court in Ft Lauderdale, Florida, declaring himself "troubled by the political motivations of the prosecutors". His case will be transferred to Washington, D.C.

Roger Stone, a confidant of US President Donald Trump, was arrested Friday morning on several criminal charges stemming from the special counsel's Russian Federation investigation.

"After the July 22, 2016, release of stolen (Democratic National Committee) emails by Organization 1, a senior Trump Campaign official was directed to contact STONE about any additional releases and what other damaging information Organization 1 had regarding the Clinton Campaign".

The indictment does not name the official or say who directed the outreach to Stone.

I am very happy to be back in Spain, which is like my home and where the most attractive football in the world is played. During his time with Las Palmas with Quique Setién as coach he played as an out and out striker, a typical number "9".

Stone has said for months he was prepared to be charged, though he has denied any wrongdoing.

Mueller was appointed in May 2017 to investigate allegations of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian Federation.

"This has been rumoured to be coming down for several months, so Roger and his legal team are ready to fight these charges in court", Caputo told Reuters. Stone went on to boast that he had correctly predicted the October 7 release. He has known Trump for decades, pushing him to run for president as far back as 1998 after seeing in the NY celebrity developer the potent political combination of charisma, money and controversy. Some of those false statements were made to the House intelligence committee, according to the indictment.

Alksne said the indictment proved that the Trump campaign had lied to the American people and to the Congress, and slammed Giuliani's reaction.

Trump's outside lawyers Jay Sekulow and Rudy Giuliani did not respond to a request for comment on the indictment earlier on Friday.

Born in CT in 1952, Mr Stone first got involved in politics at the age of 8, agitating for Democratic candidate John F Kennedy. Mueller's office has said those emails, belonging to Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta, were hacked by Russian intelligence officers.

Mueller also alleges that Stone attempted to persuade another witness, radio host Randy Credico, to provide false testimony to the committee.

Stone has a knack for commanding attention: He sports impeccably tailored suits and close-cropped bleach blond hair and is willing to say just about anything.

Over the next three decades, Stone would repeatedly encourage Trump - whose celebrity status grew more solidified by his foray into reality television - to seek the presidency.
