So, the Jets have hired a head coach they believe to be a quarterback whisperer.

Adam Gase looks on during a game against the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium in September.

He's got a career 125-77-2 record in the regular season with nine playoff appearances and 10 career playoff victories.

Gase went 23-25 during his three seasons as head coach of the Dolphins, beating the Jets in five of their six meetings. Gase was sacked following three seasons in South Florida.

Or not taken for quite some time, anyway.

But for Joseph, if head coach of the Bengals doesn't work out, he might have to settle for a coordinator job somewhere considering Cincinnati and Miami are the only head-coach openings left.

Cleveland Browns: Bullet dodged with Mike McCarthy
As the team's success grew, Kitchens never campaigned to be Cleveland's coach but leading a team was always a goal. While building game plans, he empowered his players by asking them what plays they were most comfortable running.

Dowell Loggains is expected to be named as an offensive assistant with the Jets, sources told ESPN's Jeff Darlington.

McCarthy went 135-85-2 in 12-plus years with the Packers but was sacked with four games left in the 2018 season.

He's got 13 seasons under his belt as a National Football League head coach, all with the Packers. Perhaps they hire the coach that beat them in Super Bowl XLV.

"Everything in Cleveland, I wish I knew then what I know now", Shurmur said.

"I've always felt myself and I told you this, that I thought he had a lot of good qualities as a coach".

The Jets just have to hope this hasn't come too soon for him.
