Patrick McCaw set to move on from Warriors and sign offer sheet with Cavaliers, per report

It's important to note that the Warriors can match any offer sheet McCaw receives from another team, so the move isn't finalized just yet. He shot 40.9 percent from the field and just 23.8 percent from 3-point range.

He suffered a scary back injury after a hard foul late last March and ended up missing the final month of the season, finally returning in the latter stages of the Western Conference Finals.

McCaw, 23, was a pleasant surprise for the Warriors during their 2017 championship run, but injuries and sticky contract negotiations have prevented him from playing a second of National Basketball Association action this season.

Tom Brady Makes Major Announcement About His Future
While his contract is up after the 2019 season, Brady is likely to sign a new one with the Patriots. I wake up every day excited to go to work. fulfilled.

The Cavs signed McCaw to a two-year, $6 million contract, which would have cost the Warriors $11.3 million total due to their luxury tax implications, elevating their tax bill from $50.3 million to $61.6 million for this current season. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity Friday because it remains unclear if Golden State will exercise its right to match the terms.

On a Cavs team that is clearly rebuilding and is bereft of young talent outside of Collin Sexton, McCaw should certainly get an opportunity.

It's not immediately clear when McCaw will play for the Cavaliers, who have dropped six straight and have the NBA's worst record at 8-29. They'll host the Heat on Wednesday.
