Today, former PM Manmohan Singh was asked by a reporter about his comment upon the movie made on him, but his response was unprecedented as Singh, just turned away the question and moved on.

With the BJP facing flak online for sharing the trailer of The Accidental Prime Minister on Twitter, Union Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore Friday waded into the controversy asking whether the party doesn't have the freedom to extend wishes to a film. The fans of the global actor are mighty impressed with his uncanny resemblance to Dr. Manmohan Singh in the trailer of The Accidental Prime Minister.

We must say, it's Anupam Kher and Akshaye Khanna who emerge as show-stealers and keep you hooked. Anupam Kher will be seen as Manmohan Singh, the economist and politician who served as the Prime Minister of India from 2004 to 2014 under the United Progressive Alliance. That challenged me. I rehearsed his walk for 45 minutes but I couldn't get it right so, I called the makers for the narration of the script and I was very fascinated by it.

I mean that literally, a fight did breakout that caused Richard Sherman, Josh Bellamy, and Anthony Miller ejected from the game. But he delivered several blows - "I went open hand", he said - while trying to extricate Harris from the angry Bears sideline.

At the trailer launch on December 27, Anupam Kher said, "We did not start the film thinking that this kind of political scenario will be there". I feel it's the most hard role I have done in my life because Dr. Manmohan Singh is known by everybody and even today, he is so active. Then I told myself that if your work is not challenging then, what's the benefit to do it? "We don't want to give any unnecessary publicity to this film by protesting it", said Congress' media in-charge Narendra Saluja.

The film is slated to release on 11th January, 2019 and will be released in Hindi, English, Tamil and Telugu.

Journalist Nikhil Wagle sought to remind that the director of The Accidental Prime Minister Vijay Ratnakar Gutte and his father Ratnakar were arrested for GST fraud. Meanwhile, the Congerss has denied reports that it is seeking a ban on the release of Anupam Kher-starrer The Accidental Prime Minister.
