There will be plenty of closures over the holidays in Guelph

Local government offices and entities will be closed next week in observance of the Christmas holiday.

But come Boxing Day, and in the run-up to New Year's Eve, it's time to work off some of those extra calories, dust off the yuletide cobwebs and embrace the great outdoors.

Tuesday, January 1, 2019 - New Year's Day: CLOSED.

Tuesday, December 25 - Christmas Day: CLOSED.

The city's indoor pools are operating normally this weekend, but will close Monday, Dec. 24, at 1 p.m.

Wellington Brewery's retail store is open on Christmas Eve from 10 a.m.to 3 p.m. and on Boxing Day from 10 a.m.to 5 p.m.

The final guest Trump runs into is Robert De Niro's Robert Mueller , who brings Trump a photo of his grandson (instead of a subpoena, as Trump feared).

The city also posted information about transit service next week. Federal government offices are closed but the Kane County Government Center is open.

Dixon's Distilled Spirits on Elmira Road will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Sunday, December 23: 11am to 5pm (open 30 minutes early for browsing).

There will be no waste collection on Christmas Day and service will be delayed one day all week.

The city's museums will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

The Bulletin will be closed Christmas Day.
