Epic Games to undercut Valve with own PC games store

Epic Games to undercut Valve with own PC games store

Those who own a Season 7 Battle Pass will gain early access to their private island from tomorrow, December 6.

Players who own a Battle Pass will be allowed to play Fortnite Creative today while everyone else (i.e. free players) will have to wait a week before they're given access.

More on today's Fortnite downtime and Season 7 start times will be shared by Epic Games on social media. According to the developer, Fortnite Creative is similar to the game's Playground Mode, but on a much larger scale.

That means those that don't buy Season 7's Battle Pass will get access to the mode on Thursday, December 13.

Fortnite is available now on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC and mobile.

Fed's Powell, in apparent dovish shift, says rates near neutral
At the same time, Powell says the financial system and markets appear far sturdier than they did before the 2008 crisis. While interest rates were gradually moving to a neutral point, "we're a long way from neutral at this point, probably".

Right now, Fortnite is the most popular game in the world, so it makes ideal sense to keep pushing it.

In the announcement video above, the developer states that everything is "saved from session to session", so players and their friends will be able to work on longer projects without having to worry about lost progress.

We look forward to exploring this new mode when it launches. "We've recently worked with GOG on making classic Epic Games titles available and we're planning to bring more of them to the store in their original glory". It seems Epic will offer some new base maps, plus give players the ability to build their own. (Possible, but not exactly convenient.) That should help keep people invested in Fortnite even after the battle royale craze all-but-inevitably dies down as people latch on to the next trend.
