Liverpool might be flying high in the Premier League this season but it is their Champions League campaign that has Jurgen Klopp a bit anxious.

A 2-1 loss at Paris Saint-Germain in the night's marquee match was Liverpool's fifth straight away defeat in the competition, and sparked wild celebrations in Parc des Princes.

Liverpool will have to wait until the final day to see if they will make the last-16 of the Champions League. If we do that and win it, then we deserve it and if we don't, then we don't deserve it.

In Group C everything isyet to be decided between Napoli, Liverpool and PSG over who goes through and in which position.

The runaway French league leader unsettled Liverpool's defence from the start. Liverpool failed to create any chance of note and were punished soon enough, Van Dijk making a complete hash of Mbappe's cross in the 12th minute and allowing Juan Bernat to side-foot the ball into the bottom left corner of the net, giving PSG the lead they so deserved.

Liverpool registered a last-gasp victor through Roberto Firmino when the two teams met at Anfield and played out an entertaining 3-2 score-line in the reverse fixture in September.

Liverpool bookings, and constant interruptions for apparent injuries to PSG players, infuriated Klopp.

Napoli meanwhile are just a point ahead of PSG but three ahead of Liverpool after breezing past Red Star Belgrade 3-1 thanks to Marek Hamsik's first goal of the season and a Dries Mertens double. We have to be 100 per cent spot on, but that was clear before this game so it's not about showing a reaction, it's about carrying on, go, go, go in the league, get as many points as you can get, win your home games, win your away games in the best way.
