Red Dead Online Beta: Launch Dates and New Details Announced

However, considering that Rockstar Studios continues to make ungodly amounts of money with Grand Theft Auto Online, Red Dead Redemption 2 was never going to remain a solitary experience.

According to The Verge, Rockstar has decided on a staggered release even in this beta phase, likely a defence against the connection debacle that occurred at the launch of GTA Online.

Nearly exactly a month after the launch of Red Dead Redemption 2, the game's online mode is live. In the meantime, Red Dead Redemption 2 is now available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, starting at $59.99.

Rockstar has announced that Red Dead Redemption 2 online will launch in beta tonight. The files describe the mode as "a true test of resourcefulness", and simply tells players to "be the last one standing".

Red Dead Online is a separate, multiplayer online mode for Red Dead Redemption 2 that is being added to the best-selling game for free.

In its statement , it said that all images uploaded to Tumblr pass through a database of "known child sexual abuse material". This isn't the first time that malware has been distributed in the form of an authentic application.

Update: Rockstar have since sent out an official Newswire statement which corroborates the original story from The Verge. During the beta, you'll have the option to form a group with up to seven other players, set up your own camp, take on missions, engage in PvP and more.

While the Red Dead Online beta is now only available to a handful of players at this current time, by the end of the week everyone will get the chance to head out into the Wild West for themselves and their posse.

For months now there's been rumours of a Battle Royale mode in Red Dead Redemption II's multiplayer and now it's been proven true, sort of. This online mode is scheduled to go live today as early access for those who have the ultimate edition of the game.

In Red Dead Online, players will be able to create their own character, select certain abilities and then explore the entire world. Next to get access are players that played the game yesterday, who will get access to the online beta tomorrow, on 28 November. Thursday November 29th allows a few more to join the posse (anyone who played between October 26th and October 29th).
