US announces $5 mn bounty on anyone behind Mumbai attacks

On behalf of the Government of the United States of America and all Americans, I express my solidarity with the people of India and the city of Mumbai on the 10th anniversary of the Mumbai terrorist attack.

Armed with AK-47 assault rifles and hand grenades, ten militants killed 166 people and injured hundreds more in a three-day rampage through India's financial capital which started on November 26, 2008.

"All countries must uphold their global obligations to take action against this United Nations sanctioned terrorist group and its leaders", said Nathan Sales, State Department's coordinator for counterterrorism in his brief remark. The barbarity of 26/11 shocked the entire world.

The 26/11 Mumbai terror attack has completed 10 years today and this was really one of the most disgusting experience India faced in the recent past. They targeted two luxury hotels, a Jewish center, a tourist restaurant and a crowded train station.

Residents and railway officials also paid their respects at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus train station where Mohammed Kasab, the only gunman caught alive, and another attacker killed nearly 60 people and wounded at least 100 others.

The rewards have not worked so far and Saeed operates openly in Pakistan, leaving the effectiveness of the latest steps open to question.

Former Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith suffers season-ending injury
The injury occurred 33 years to the day that former Washington QB Joe Theissman suffered his devastating career-ending injury. Watson threw for a touchdown and had two interceptions, completing 16 of 24 passes and taking three sacks.

The Taj Mahal Palace and Tower Hotel will hold a private service to remember the 31 people who died there.

Indian security forces only retook control of the hotel on the morning of November 29.

Trump took to Twitter on Monday and said the Unites States stands with the people of India in their quest for justice over the 26/11 attack.

Announcing a reward of up to $5 million for information leading to arrests or convictions of those involved in the 2008 Mumbai attack, the United States also said that it was an affront to the families of the victims that those who planned the attack had not been convicted.

The first phase of the "Nariman Light House Memorial" includes a plaque with the names of all the 166 victims of the 26/11 terror strikes, a gently flowing fountain in an artificial garden signifying the flow of life, purification and regeneration, and six planks signifying the prime targeted locations. In April 2012, it announced reward offers for information that brings to justice LeT founder Hafiz Mohammad Saeed and Hafiz Abdul Rahman Makki, another senior LeT leader.

"The United States is committed to seeing that those responsible for this attack face justice", said Mr Pompeo while a separate statement issued by the State Department said the USA was also "committed to working with our worldwide partners" to achieve this goal.
