Inciarte, the team's 28-year-old defensive star in center field, was the surprise-free selection as he earned his third consecutive Gold Glove after leading all outfielders in outs above average per Statcast.

Rizzo won for the first time in 2016, when he was also the Platinum Glove Award victor for the entire National League.

The Red Sox' outfield is now comprised of two 2018 Gold Glove winners with Jackie Bradley Jr. and Mookie Betts snagging the honors.

Atlanta added three Gold Gloves to its surprise NL East title this season. A total of eight outfielders for the Pirates have won a Gold Glove, with Marte being the last in 2015 and 2016.

Freeman led all National League first basemen in defensive runs saved and logged 24 scoops on the season. But if the Gold Glove was his final achievement as an Astro, then it is not a bad way to go out. Houston pitcher Dallas Keuchel and Los Angeles Angels shortstop Andrelton Simmons also won in the AL.

The Cubs have now had a Gold Glove Award victor in each of the last three seasons.
