Boston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers (middle) celebrates with teammates after defeating the Los Angeles Dodgers in game four of the 2018 World Series at Dodger Stadium.

They played baseball for longer, both in innings and in time elapsed, than any two teams had ever played in any of the previous 113 World Series. Baseball is wonderful and awful.

A 17-2 start meant the Red Sox could coast to the playoffs en route to a team-record 108 wins. "I just love this team's fight".

The Dodgers, now down three games to one, were in prime position to tie the series at two games apiece, protecting a 4-0 lead in Game 4 as late as two out in the top of the seventh inning. Kelly, who has now allowed just one run in 10⅓ innings this postseason, ruined that daydream by blowing a 98.2 mile-per-hour fastball by him for strike three.

And as WBUR's Shira Springer noted to NPR's Newscast, the Red Sox haven't lost a single road game yet this postseason.

Hill started 10 post-season games entering Saturday's action and not gone past six in any of them. "It is unbelievable how a manager takes out a pitcher who is loose & dominating through nearly 7 innings, Rich Hill of Dodgers, and brings in nervous reliever (s) who get shellacked".

Muncy almost won the game in the 15th inning, pulling a long drive off Nathan Eovaldi that hooked just to the foul side of the right-field pole. That year, the Yankees swept the Reds in four games that took a combined 7 hours, 5 minutes.

The CIA's Haspel heard an audio recording of Khashoggi's death during a trip to Turkey this week, sources told Reuters. The Tadawul All-Shares Index (TASI) rose 4.3 percent to close trading on the last day of the week on 7,835.54 points.

Dedicated supporters shouted "Let's go Dodgers!" and "Dodgers are coming back!" as they made their way home ahead of Game 4 that was only about 16 hours away. Eovaldi had been scheduled to start for the Red Sox, but he threw 97 pitches over six-plus innings in relief as one of nine pitchers they used. Muncy scored when Kinsler botched the throw to first on Yasiel Puig's infield single. The Red Sox now own a commanding 3-1 lead in the 114th Fall Classic.

The All-Star closer served up a one-out homer to Steve Pearce that tied the game at 4-all.

It's a best-of-seven series, Silicon Valley.

Dodger Stadium was already rumbling with tension and fear when Holt doubled in the ninth off losing pitcher Dylan Floro.

But the Dodgers finally got it going in the sixth when Boston start Eduardo Rodriguez hit leadoff hitter David Freese with a pitch near the knee and Justin Turner doubled down the left-field line to send pinch-runner Hernandez to third.

Gibson was introduced to throw the ceremonial first pitch, then Eckersley came out and the two hugged on the mound. Left-hander Rich Hill had been set to go.
