Brendan Rodgers removes the fear factor from Celtic ahead of Europa League meeting with RB Leipzig

Rodgers believes that irrespective of the result against RB Leipzig, his side, who have scored 10 goals in their last two Premiership matches, will still go into Sunday's League Cup semi-final against Hearts at Murrayfield with optimism. So we look forward to seeing them.

Combined with their costly defensive lapses, Celtic offered little going forward, and they nearly fell three behind when Jean-Kevin Augustin had a fierce strike tipped onto the post by Craig Gordon after 65 minutes.

"The players who have come in have been waiting a long time".

"We have stabilised the team in recent weeks, we have been performing well and this gives them a chance to show how well they have been training".

The clash with RB Leipzig kicks off at 5.55pm.

The home side cruised their way through the second half to leave the Scottish champions in third place with three points from nine, with leaders Salzburg on nine and RB Leipzig second with six.

Rodgers has been quick to downplay Arzani's lack of opportunities to date and most recently said he has been impressed with the teenager's progress.

'I felt there was a lot of positives from the game.

Six people shot near Jacksonville Jaguars stadium
The sheriff's office said that the game was not impacted. "At this time , six adults shot with three in critical condition". Police are looking for at least two suspects. "In talking to the sheriff's department; they are going to beef up patrols".

"I think Brendan has his heart set on being the man to deliver the ten". So for us, the standard here is winning so we are there to win and to do it in a way that entertains our supporters.

Celtic have been poor away from home in the group stages and beyond in European competitions in recent years but Rangnick, who will be without Emil Forsberg, Ibrahima Konate and Diego Demme, is expecting a tough tie.

Rodgers told "BBC Scotland", "We're still in with a great chance".

"But it's okay", Rodgers said, "We have a number of young players and other players who may have the opportunity over these next few games who have been training very hard and working very well to have an opportunity to play".

"The way they play, you know it's quite simple football but it's worked really well for them".

"It will have a fantastic atmosphere and like we always do we will try to impose our game and play as well as we can".

"They like to press and build from the back using their wing-backs".
