Unless, of course, the Dodgers have something even bigger up their sleeve when they meet the Boston Red Sox in the World Series.

The Dodgers are the sixth team in baseball history to fall 10 games below.500 and reach the World Series in the same season, a feat last pulled off by the 2005 Houston Astros, according to research from the Elias Sports Bureau.

The Brewers had their chances against rookie starter Walker Buehler, a 24-year-old right-hander who navigated through trouble over 4 2/3 innings.

Yasiel Puig and Cody Bellinger hit home runs as the Dodgers won 5-1 to seal an overall 4-3 victory. That includes both games he's picked in this series, nailing Games 1 and 6 by taking the underdog Brewers in each. Urias got Yelich out as Chris Taylor made a sensational sliding catch in the left center gap that swung momentum to the Dodgers.

Christian Yelich and Braun combined for another run with consecutive doubles in the second, and then it became a question of strategy for Roberts and Counsell with Game 7 on deck.

Emery not critical of Premier League over Arsenal’s congested fixtures
Heading into the global break, Arsenal were flying high sitting fourth in the Premier League , just two points off the top. Lacazette, too, has been on fire in recent times and will be desperate to continue his goalscoring run against Leicester.

He was then largely at a loss for words after the Dodgers' win that propelled them to the World Series a second straight year.

The Dodgers had a much more hard road to the World Series than the Red Sox. The Brewers ended up taking the win-or-go-home contest in a 7-2 fashion. Add it all up and I see the Brew Crew celebrating with a champagne party Saturday night before heading to Boston for the team's first World Series in 36 years.

"We weren't able to put together rallies, multiple hits, and get things going".

Chacin (1-1) allowed two runs on three hits in two innings, walking one. When Brewers ace Josh Hader entered the game in the third inning, he pinch-hit for outfielder Joc Pederson. Each team is posted at -105 in the lasted Dodgers vs. Brewers odds, meaning you'd need to bet $105 to win $100. He had thrown three innings for the first time since his last career minor-league appearance and was coming up on the second time through on the Dodgers' order. He's allowed just three hits, five walks, three runs and has struck out 25 when working on three days of rest. Counsell pinch-hit for Chacin with two on and two out in the bottom of the second, but Jonathan Schoop grounded out to end the threat. They didn't coast into the playoffs - in fact, just a few months into the season, some had already written off the struggling Dodgers.
