Back in Washington, the US Senate is expected to give President Trump a big political win later on Saturday by confirming conservative judge Brett Kavanaugh as the next Supreme Court justice. His confirmation would give the US president a clear win in his drive to cement conservative dominance of the high court. He denied making the remark.

"She works so hard and does it all out of love, " Trump added.

She's right though. In an ideal world, the focus would be on the First Lady's initiatives and what she said and did, rather than what she was wearing.

Mrs Trump responded to a question about her role and whether the places she visits could be seen as "poking" at her husband by saying: "I don't always agree what he tweets".

He's just been the ultimate pro, taking care of himself, being in great shape. On a more serious note, Manning said Brees broke the record "the right way".

"I want to talk about my trip and not what I wear and that's very important what I do, what we're doing with USA aid, and what I do with my initiatives and I wish people would focus on what I do, not what I wear".

She quickly replied "yes", which elicited laughter from both the First Lady and the reporters on hand.

Trump's visit to Cairo included a planned visit with Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi and his wife, first lady Entissar Mohameed Amer, and the visit to the pyramids to highlight USA -backed preservation efforts there.

Surrounded by the strictest security measures, Ms. Trump was greeted at Cairo airport by the wife of president Abdel Fatah al-Sissi, Entissar al-Sissi. No statements were made to the press.

She will visit Egypt as her last stop. Then, in Malawi, the first lady visited a primary school that has been struggling with high enrollment and donated 1.4 million books, school supplies, and soccer balls.

Trump's trip, which took her to Ghana and Malawi as well, has also focused on children - one expressed objective of the trip was to highlight her "Be Best" campaign, which promotes "encouragement, kindness, compassion and respect" among kids.
