Jose Mourinho Tells Paul Pogba He Won't Captain United Again

Manchester United are backing José Mourinho in his power struggle with Paul Pogba, with the hierarchy supportive of his decision to strip the midfielder of the vice-captaincy.

Mourinho told Pogba he is no longer United's "second captain", reportedly because of concerns about his attitude.

English soccer club Manchester United forecast record revenue for 2018-19, despite having dropped off the early pace in the new Premier League season.

Pogba was slammed by his manager during training and told he would never wear the captain's armband again, as he did not have the right temperament for the job. We had the personality to take penalties and play the way we did.

Lampard, who played under Mourinho at Chelsea, was rewarded for naming a full-strength side, in contrast to many managers in this competition, fielding the same team that beat Brentford 3-1 in the Championship on Saturday. Mourinho had a good first season with two trophies, but has since failed to deliver on silverware or style of play and isn't getting the best out of his players, including the ones that he has signed, like Pogba.

If he is keen to stay in Mourinho's absence, then they will be retaining a world-class player, the likes of which are in short supply at United.

Pogba has already been linked with a move away from Old Trafford with Barcelona interested before the close of the summer transfer window.

Jürgen Klopp happy with Mohamed Salah despite lack of goals
He looks really fit [and] did a lactate test last week so fitness-wise he is - for his situation - on a really OK level". Intense game , it was all good, fantastic game .

The win at Old Trafford - only his 12th competitive match - saw him claim first honors against his erstwhile mentor and manager from his Chelsea days.

But Derby had United on the ropes with their slick passing.

But Harry Wilson equalized with a free kick in the 59th and United's problems deepened when goalkeeper Romero was sent off in the 67th for handling outside the box.

Lukaku hit the woodwork as United tried to respond, but Derby made the most of their numerical advantage to snatch the lead in the 85th minute.

The France midfielder was rested for the clash and watched on from the stands.

But in the fifth minute of added time, substitute Fellaini headed in a Diogo Dalot cross to force the shootout.
