There aren't many names to look out for when it comes to gaming phones but one can't negate Razer Phone released past year.

If you are looking for buy the 2017 first generation of Razer Phone, check it out on Amazon at $549 and assume that the Razer Phone 2 ain't gonna be cheap either.

Since the launch of the Razer Phone, the smartphone world has moved on to edge-to-edge displays with little to no bezels on the side.

Razer today (Sept. 14) sent out save-the-date invites for an October 10 press event in Los Angeles. A few of the smartphone's specifications and features have been confirmed via the company's executives or benchmarking websites.

Razer is also joining the party with their cleverly named Razer Phone 2. On the software side, the smartphone will run Android 8.1 Oreo, and it might have customised nova launcher user interface on top, similar to its predecessor.

Razer Phone 2 is expected to be released in more markets unlike the original phone.

Early leaks confirm the 845 and that it will also feature 8GB of RAM. While Razer is still not providing any tangible information on the device, a new render has shown up, claiming to depict the upcoming handset.

The big selling points of last years phone were the 120Hz refresh rate display and 4,000mAh battery to keep you gaming, so you can expect these will return, they may even try and increase the battery size. While it doesn't give us a lot to look at, largely mirroring the design of the first-gen Razer Phone, we do see the phone set to this very same October 10 date.
