WhatsApp brings group video calling to Android and iOS

Group video calling via Whats App is what's

The Facebook-owned messaging app first revealed the feature at a developer's conference back in May. After the beta rollout that happened last month, the chat app is now finally moving out its group calling feature from beta to stable version.

The video calling interface allows you to add only one person at a time which means that the fourth person can be added only once the third person has accepted the invitation. WhatsApp users are claimed to be spending over 2 billion minutes on calls per day, meaning the group video calls was a highly-anticipated feature.

If you want to try it out, all you need to do is start a one-on-one voice or video call with someone and then tap the "add participant" button in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

The feature is going to be very easy to use as it will automatically show up on the notifications panel whenever a user receives a certain amount of messages from a particular user.

Final draft of NRC to be released on Monday amid security
National Register of Citizens (NRC) officials check the names of the residents in the final list at a NRC Sewa Kendra (NSK). No coercive action will be taken against anyone, hence there is no need for anyone to panic, says Rajnath Singh .

Do note that group calls have a four-member limit, so you can't conduct a large-scale meeting via this route.

WhatsApp's new group video calling feature is now available to users on Android and iOS.

WhatsApp says that its calls are encrypted end-to-end just like its standard messages. The company is now starting to gradually roll out group video and audio call functionality to its userbase. The Instant messaging platform had previously teased the feature a few days ago. The feature is now rolling out to users globally. Only the host can invite more people to join a call.
