Highs temperatures will stay generally at or below normal through the extended outlook. Look for scattered clouds north and blue skies over the southern half of our state Wednesday. More showers and thunderstorms are expected for many throughout the rest of the day. Some storms will also bring locally heavy rain at times and flooding, or flash flooding, will be a concern overnight. Before the rain chance and front Thursday, highs should hit the low to mid 80s.

Tuesday: Elevated rain chances continue. The best chance for another round of heavy rain appears to be Saturday night.

Soggy afternoons and slightly below average temperatures mark the first few days of the week, with sunnier and warmer weather by the end of it.

Today: Mostly sunny and hot. Northeast wind around 7 miles per hour.

Tonight: Evening showers/storms likely.
