Fargo was the latest stop in a campaign tour that in seven days took Mr. Trump to Minnesota, Nevada and SC.

He criticized her for voting against Republican health care and tax legislation, and evoked loud boos when he said she voted against a bill "to stop late-term abortions".

On Wednesday, Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy announced he is retiring - allowing Trump to appoint his second justice.

The president even claimed his presidency is the real cause behind a recent decline in National Football League ratings, noting that no one has the time to watch National Football League "because everybody is watching us on the different cable networks". Heidi Heitkamp for a spot on the Senate, flew with Trump and followed him out of the plane closely.

President Donald Trump is offering a hearty endorsement to congressman Kevin Cramer, the man he says will be "the next United States senator from the great state of North Dakota".

Trump travelled to North Dakota on Wednesday to campaign on behalf of the Republican challenging Heitkamp, Representative Kevin Cramer.

The stakes are high for North Dakota's race.

Trump called Cramer a "special person" and a "good guy" while endorsing his Senate bid.

"While we saw election-year politics today, I'm always willing to work with the president if he's helping North Dakota - and if he's not, I'll speak up", Heitkamp said in a statement. She also voted against some of his Cabinet nominees.

"Can you imagine if I said the things she said?"

Trump is scheduled to appear at a rally Wednesday evening in a 6,000-seat Fargo hockey arena in a burst of campaign appearances that has included Nevada, Minnesota and SC.

It is not the first time the president has suggested that he and his supporters are more elite than the elite - initially making such comments at a rally in Duluth, Minnesota last week, when Trump suggested that since he had a better apartment and more money than his detractors, they shouldn't be called elite.

Trump went farther than that in attacking Heitkamp, calling her a "liberal Democrat" who blindly follows "Chuck and Nancy".

"I think political speeches are political speeches", she said in a phone interview after the Fargo rally Wednesday, June 28.

"Please don't remove Nancy Pelosi", Trump said sarcastically, noting the San Francisco liberal's widespread unpopularity among Republicans.

Trump is telling rallygoers in Fargo, North Dakota, that those who have made threats and posted employees' personal information are "radical Democrat protesters" who "want anarchy".

The president also mocked Democrats' talk of a "blue wave" in November that help their party take back the House, saying they "keep talking about this blue wave", but "their blue wave is really sputtering pretty badly".
