Lakers Rumors: LA's Pitch to Sign Paul George Has Been Revealed

The Oklahoma City Thunder are growing increasingly optimistic about their chances of re-signing him.

And according to ESPN, the 28-year-old has chose to opt out of his Thunder contract. For LeBron James, and other free agents, where PG lands could impact their decisions. For instance, like if George and LeBron James joined forces in Los Angeles or possibly another destination - catching the world by surprise.

Before his trade, George had told the Pacers that he planned to sign with the Lakers in free agency this summer.

George could do a "one-plus one" contract and return to free agency next summer. Added he likes Sam Presti, Billy Donovan, and playing with Russell Westbrook. And it seemed set in stone for a while that he would join the Lakers soon after, not only because he is a Southern California native, but also due to their ambitions of creating the next super team with plans of adding LeBron James and Kawhi Leonard as well.

The second part airs Thursday, and the third will be shown after he makes his final decision.

ESPN will chronicle his journey in a three-part series, titled "Paul George: My Journey". "A lot is playing into this, so it's a bit overwhelming".

George, 28, grew up in Palmdale, California and played his college ball at Fresno State. "They checked the boxes on what needs to be checked".
