Brazil's stuttering performance stemmed from anxiety at playing their first World Cup game, coach Tite said after their 1-1 draw with Switzerland in Group E on Sunday.

"Of course, neutralizing Neymar was a key ingredient of our game", he added.

Brazil have a good team and collective quality to get themselves out of problems but Neymar tried to win the game on his own and he failed.

The coach of the Selecao was adamant Switzerland's goal should have been ruled out by referee Cesar Ramos, and Neymar agreed with that assessment.

"At this stage of a World Cup you have to take advantage of a goal and see that your opponents are taking risks and you need to have faster transitions".

While others were left to ponder if, much like President Trump's infamous coif, Neymar's statement 'do has the potential to become sentient in its own right.

"Neymar, we have to watch out for him, he might not be able to be fully fit but his recovery has been good", Tite said.

Mattis not surprised by Trump halting South Korea drills: Pentagon
Ms Bishop's opposition counterpart Penny Wong echoed concerns that North Korea might not follow through on its promise. Speaking at a news conference after the summit , he called the military drills "tremendously expensive".

"But the most important is that we have peace of mind so that we can recover well and go back to Sochi with our families to gear up for the next match".

"And not everyone (in Brazil) likes me", Tite said, chuckling. They are working well in the transition from the attack in defence, it's very fast now.

"Until we scored the goal there was a lot of pressure". "But I am happy with the way we've been performing".

The Brazilians remain haunted by their 7-1 loss to Germany in the 2014 World Cup semifinals that was followed by a 3-0 defeat against the Netherlands in the third-place playoff.

Switzerland heads into the match with a lofty Federation Internationale de Football Association ranking of sixth in the world - a standing bolstered by some judicious selection of friendly opponents. "Sometimes there is a lack of recognition (in Switzerland's ability) and I think that's a pity because this team really believes in itself and can achieve results".

Tite did not complain that his side were denied a penalty when Manuel Akanji wrapped his arms around Gabriel Jesus and had little sympathy with claims some of his players had been fouled when Switzerland levelled.

"I have said it on many occasions - our teacher has changed the face of the national team", Brazil captain Marcelo said.
