Numerous songs continue to explore the couple's marital struggles, stirring post-infidelity tea previously spilled on Beyoncé's 2016 album Lemonade and Jay-Z's 2017 album 4:44.

The creation of The Carters and the release of the group's first album, "Everything Is Love", confirms years' worth of rumors that the couple was working on a joint project. And, you know, at the end of the day we really have a healthy respect for one another's craft. Because if Everything Is Love is any indication, we're ready to embrace The Carters.

A year later Jay-Z asked for forgiveness on his own album 4:44. On the album, the notoriously private couple open up about everything from the Grammys to their marital trouble to Hov allegedly turning down the Super Bowl 2018 Halftime Show.

Most recently the Securities and Exchange Commission ordered the rapper to testify as part of an investigation into his sale of his Rocawear clothing line.
