Trump reportedly ‘obsessed’ with pardons considering Kardashian’s request

The great-grandmother's emotional homecoming came after Kim Kardashian West lobbied for President Trump to commute her life sentence, which advocates said was an exorbitant sentence given Johnson's lack of criminal history and the nature of the crime. Johnson served 21 years for a first-time, nonviolent drug offense. Well thankfully Kim got through to Trump because it was revealed the other day that Alice was commuted & freed.

While the White House hasn't reached out to Johnson directly since the news, Trump did wish her good luck over Twitter on Thursday. "Despite receiving a life sentence, Alice worked hard to rehabilitate herself in prison, and act as a mentor to her fellow inmates", the statement read.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star took up Alice's cause past year (17), after reading about her life sentence for a non-violent, first-time drug offence, and recruited top lawyer Shawn Holley to lead the effort to free her from the Aliceville Correctional Institution in Alabama.

Kim Kardashian-West hired a team of attorneys and brought her case to the president's attention.

Hours after President Donald Trump granted clemency to Alice Johnson, she was released from prison. "I can't wait to get back on the workforce and get back to my community", she told a gathering of family members and supporters.

"The presidential pardon holds a special resonance for Trump, representing one area where he has nearly unchecked power as other aspects of his presidency... remain outside his control", The Post says.

In a recent Skype interview, Tretessa Johnson told ABC News she was grateful that Kardashian West took an interest in her mother's case.

Blizzard’s Job Listing Confirms New Diablo Project
Multiple job listings on Blizzard's careers site have fuelled speculation that the company is working on a new Diablo game. His comments suggested that the development of such a remake would nearly have to be treated like an entirely new game.

Johnson was convicted of conspiracy to possess cocaine and attempted possession of cocaine.

"I've been waiting for these shrimp", she said of her first meal outside prison.

Mrs. Kardashian West reacted positively to the news, as one would have expected.

"I want to say to President Trump, I am going to make you proud that you gave me this second chance in life".

She also acknowledged that many people had worked on Johnson's case for years.

"This time yesterday I was in prison looking through bars", Johnson said. "This just isn't fair.' He knew that this was the right thing to do", Kim said.
