Facebook's head of public policy Rebecca Stimson made a statement that Mark Zuckerberg has no plans to testify in front of the UK Parliament now.

"It is disappointing that a company with the resources of Facebook chooses not to provide a sufficient level of detail and transparency on various points", Damian Collins, chair of the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee, said in a statement. Those changes, according to Facebook, significantly reduced the amount of data that apps could access.

A British parliamentary committee has claimed that Facebook has failed to fully answer 39 questions relating to fake news and data privacy, Reuters reports.

Given that these were follow up questions to questions Mr Schroepfer previously failed to answer, we expected both detail and data, and in a number of cases got excuses.

"It is disappointing that a company with the resources of Facebook chooses not to provide a sufficient level of detail and transparency on various points including on Cambridge Analytica, dark ads, Facebook Connect, the amount spent by Russian Federation on United Kingdom ads on the platform, data collection across the web, budgets for investigations, and that shows general discrepancies between Schroepfer and Zuckerberg's respective testimonies", said chair of the committee Damian Collins MP.

The social media giant said in a blog post Monday that the suspensions resulted from its investigation into all apps that had access to large amounts of information before Facebook changed its platform policies in 2014.

Treason petition in Pakistan court against Sharif
Khursheed Shah said responsibility lied on all of them when it was a matter of national security. This is exactly what we are struggling for. "President (Vladimir) Putin has said it.

For one, what criteria did Facebook use to decide if an app should be suspended? Alexander Kogan who is at the heart of the Cambridge Analytica situation was also listed on this project as a collaborator until 2014.

Responding to Mr Collins's comments, a Facebook spokesman said: "We have provided comprehensive responses to the 39 points that the committee raised following Mike Schroepfer's testimony".

More than 6 million people completed the tests on the myPersonality app and almost half agreed to share data from their Facebook profiles with the project.

The move has been slammed by critics because it effectively slips 1.5 billion users out of the rights offered under the General Data Protection Regulation.

In its latest response, Facebook added a little more colour - although the answer is unlikely to satisfy privacy experts. Where we find evidence that these or other apps did misuse data, we will ban them and notify people via this website. Between 9 and 16 April, the Facebook Like button appeared on 8.4 million websites, the Share button on 931,000 websites, and there were 2.2 million Facebook Pixels installed, the biz said. The Facebook CEO was summoned for the company's recent data privacy scandals by the UK Parliament, and he has already missed his deadline by three days.
