Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Walker Buehler throws against the San Diego Padres during a baseball game, in Monterrey, Mexico, Friday, May 4, 2018.

Los Angeles put Clayton Kershaw on the disabled list before the game with left biceps tendinitis, and the defending NL champions said their ace had returned to Los Angeles to be examined. In his first major league start, the former Maroon and Ithaca College graduate went 0-for-3 at the plate and recorded his second career stolen base in the big leagues.

The over is 3-0-3 in Maeda's last six road starts versus the Padres and is 3-0-1 in his last four outings against San Diego overall.

Joey Lucchesi (3-2) allowed three runs and five hits as the last-place Padres dropped to 11-22. But after some arm problems, doubts about his diminuitive size (6-1, 175 pounds), and getting overshadowed by his teammate Carson Fulmer, Buehler fell in the draft and became somewhat of an afterthought among top prospects.

Warren Buffett bashes bitcoin as nonproductive 'rat poison'
Since that time, Buffett said that Americans have seen 14 US presidents, world wars, 9/11 and the Cuban missile crisis. The company also has major investments in such companies as American Express, IBM and Wells Fargo & Co.

Tony Cingrani, Yimi Garcia and Adam Liberatore kept the no-hit bid alive, completing franchise history. After all, their bullpen had to consume a combined 10 2/3 innings in the first two games of the three-game set against the Dodgers. His pitch count had reached 93, and for a pitcher with a Tommy John surgery in his past, manager Dave Roberts made the prudent decision and pulled him from the game.

Buehler is now 1-0 on the season with a 1.13 ERA in 16 innings pitched.

This series was part of Major League Baseball's push to internationalize the sport.

Mexico had waited since 1999 to host a regular-season big league game, and it got a historic one: the first no-hitter ever outside the US or Canada and the 12th combined no-hitter in major league history. Reliever Chris Hatcher allowed a home run to the next batter. There was only one no-hitter last season as well as in 2016, making this the first with multiple no-hitters since 2015, when there were seven.
