Apple reportedly admits major bug in some iPhone 7 and 7 Plus models

Apple previous year in September came up with its most expensive phone -the iPhone X- with a revolutionary design and secured Face ID technology.

The new guidelines to check the iPhone X Face ID issue also applies to the Genius Bar inside the Apple Stores.

As MacRumors reports, Apple distributed a document to Apple Authorized Service providers detailing the fault present in both iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus and how to deal with it.

It says that the faceID tech can be fixed if the rear camera is working fine. It's entirely unclear what the cause happens to be, but the effect is that the speaker button appears greyed out during calls; while some users may not be heard during FaceTime chats and phone calls.

Flipkart approves $15 billion stake sale to Walmart-led group
It will be $4 billion exit to Softbank in Flipkart as the company invested $2.5 billion through it's vision fund. Walmart informed Flipkart it plans to sell shares in an initial public offer (IPO) in three years time.

This new service document from Apple into the service centers has been obtained from the people at 9to5mac, which clarifies that the workers should run a identification to assess whether the client's Face ID issues may be solved with a back camera restoration.

Some of the affected users have already took to Reddit and Twitter to report the issue. And if that does not turn out to be the case, the employee has to perform a simple unit replacement for the customer. Some users have noticed that features like pano, slow-mo, and time-lapse still work, while others did not. "My front facing camera works fine but the rear is messed up, which leads me to that conclusion". That same user saw a message each time they tried to use Face ID that said, "Face ID is not available, try again later". If the users feel his/her device is affected, then he should make an appointment at an Apple authorized service provider or Apple Store.

As for the relation between the rear camera and Face ID, while there's no official information, an iPhone X user shared on Reddit a few months ago that a Genius Bar staff had confirmed to them that the True Depth camera and telephoto lens are connected. The lenses differ on what they do.
