Stanley Cup Playoffs Roundup: Fiala Plays Hero in 2OT as Predators Even Series With Jets

The Jets came from behind to beat the Nashville Predators 7-4 Tuesday night in Game 3 of their second round Stanley Cup Playoff series. Man did they pick the right game.

"I've probably danced a couple times in my day", Byfuglien said. Ryan Johansen topped the Nashville scoring burst with a first period goal and a third period tally that gave the team the lead. So, yeah. There's a reason they're not getting more minutes.

Carrie Underwood returned to the ice at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Sunday to perform the USA national anthem ahead of Game 2 of the Nashville Predators' second-round series against the Winnipeg Jets.

The Presidents' Trophy-winning Predators, however, were not done after the Jets went ahead late in the second period. "He really comes to play".

Regardless of the way the game started, the Jets were simply better by the end. Wheeler had two goals and an assist in 22 minutes and 46 seconds of icetime with eight shots and two hits.

Not only has he been able to work his way into prime scoring areas throughout the first two rounds, but Tanev has managed to fire 14 pucks on goal - fifth among all Jets forwards - and he has been rewarded for his effort with three goals.

Mattias Ekholm and Ryan Johansen both added two assists for the Predators, who got 38 stops from Pekka Rinne. Mark Scheifele is playing absolutely outstanding 200-foot hockey.

Johansen said the Predators stopped skating after blowing the lead.

"We totally leave him alone in terms of his decisions with what he does on the offensive side of the puck, but he seems to have shifted now in some of the situations to be a shooter, too", he said. "He's a big-time player and he's got a lot of skill".

On the connectivity front, the smartphone has 4G VoLTE , Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. It has 4 GB of RAM along with 64 GB internal storage , which can be expanded to 256 GB using a microSD card.

The Jets couldn't complete a pass, Hellebuyck couldn't stop the puck and the crowd was as quiet as they've ever been in these 2018 National Hockey League playoffs.

Winnipeg came out of the locker room determined to not disappoint their raucous fans at the Bell MTS Place.

Wheeler then missed a wide-open net after a Rinne turnover before getting cleaned out by Watson along the boards. Filip Forsberg then clanged a shot off the iron just 40 seconds into the second period that would have extended the lead as well. While Dumolin said he didn't see Wilson coming because he was bracing for a hit by Alex Ovechkin, Wilson claimed Dumolin turned his head just before impact leaving Wilson with no time to react.

The Jets scored four goals in the second period and completely took over this game. You ride the goaltender who got you this far and trust that he will settle down. I just put one fist up in the air.

The ice was wide open and Winnipeg took advantage. Wheeler scored the victor from a tight angle after Rinne stopped Scheifele from the slot.

"Our fans are huge", Wheeler said.

"When he's playing like this, he's so good, because he's engaged, but he's not too emotional", Stastny said. "Our crowd noise is from the crowd". It's not from speakers or music or live bands or whatever. He hasn't yet scored against the Golden Knights, but it might not be smart to bet against him making some noise before the series is over.

The Predators took a 1-0 lead a little over five minutes into the game when Mike Fisher poked a puck into the net after it had squirted past Connor Hellebuyck.

Fisher nearly added to it late in the period, but his backhand hit the post behind Hellebuyck. "Those who are on the fringe may not see exactly the same but again it's that exposure and people may come back a different time after the whiteout street parties". "Just keep working. You never know what's going to happen".
