Sunny weather for the weekend after a few showers Friday

A sunny weekend with no rain is ahead for Wyandotte County, according to the National Weather Service forecast. It's not out of the question that a brief rain or snow shower could even be seen in the northern tier of the Poconos.

Monday night - Mostly clear, with a low around 48. Very much the same is expected for Sunday with humidity starting to work back into the region Sunday into Monday with rain back in the forecast mid-week. Breezy, with a south wind 10 to 20 miles per hour. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59. East southeast wind 5 to 10 miles per hour.

Thursday, there is a high near 70 with partly sunny skies, the weather service said.

Saturday night: Partly cloudy, breezy. South winds will be increasing Sunday with gusts approaching 30-40 m.p.h.

Sunday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 62.

Today's high will be near 73 with sunny skies and a light west wind, increasing to 6 to 11 miles per hour in the morning, the weather service said.

Highs Sunday will push into the upper 70s and the lower 80s with strong southeast winds, potentially gusting up to 40 miles per hour.

Tuesday night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 55. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 67.

A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7pm, then a slight chance of showers between 7pm and 1am.

Scattered showers are expected tomorrow with a high near 54.
