Rivaldo, who starred in the 1998 and 2002 World Cups, told GloboEsporte.com and Esporte Espetacular that while a return to Barcelona might be too complicated, Neymar should consider rivals Real Madrid.

Neymar has ambitions to become the best player in world football ahead of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, and Rivaldo has claimed that will not be achieved while playing in France.

That is the verdict of Barcelona legend Rivaldo.

Rivaldo has now given his take on the rumours around Neymar's future, and has seemingly suggested he has inside information indicating the 26-year-old could be off to Real, although he did not say in which transfer window that move would materialise. "If he goes there, then yes, I think he can be the best in the world".

Neymar only joined PSG in August for a world-record £198 million, but is reportedly already disillusioned with life at Parc des Princes.

The two sides maintain close and comprehensive contacts and coordinate with each other on major worldwide and regional issues. Wang was elevated as state councillor last month which makes him the top diplomat of the country in the Chinese hierarchy.

Spanish news outlet Don Balon, claims Neymar will leave PSG this summer due to the many offers he has on the table especially from United and Madrid. If you look at England, Spain, Italy, Germany.it's different. I speak of football, of competition. It was a very hard situation for him there.

"But I believe that if he stays at PSG, it will not happen".

Neymar has had an up-and-down experience at PSG, since he was signed from Barcelona for a record 222 million euros ($264 million) past year, making him the world's most expensive player.

Were Neymar to actually make the move to Madrid he would enrage all associated with Barcelona with whom he won the Champions League and two La Liga titles.
