British 500-Kg World War II bomb disposal to force evacuation in Berlin today

A large-scale evacuation is to take place in Berlin on Friday to allow experts to defuse a WWII bomb, police said.

Police said the 100-kilogram (220-pound) Soviet bombs were found in a field in the town of Sturovo.

The British bomb has been removed, the main railway station has reopened and traffic is getting back to normal.

Evacuation subject to the order of 10 thousand local residents, number of hospitals, including the charité clinic and the Bundeswehr, the Ministry, including the economy and the headquarters of the German intelligence service.

A dismantled World War Two bomb is transported at a construction site next to the central train station in Berlin, Germany, April 20, 2018.

"Everything went smoothly without complications, and by the book", said police explosives expert Engin Laumer after the 500kg bomb had been defused.

Police said the 500kg (1,100lb) bomb, believed to have been made in the United Kingdom, posed no immediate danger but the operation was expected to cause transport chaos in the German capital.

The Play drops down to a removable 2,800 mAh, though all three unfortunately charge over micro-USB. Perhaps the biggest upgrades Motorola has packed into the G6 and G6 Plus are dual rear cameras.

The 500-kg British bomb was discovered during building work this week, more than seven decades after the end of World War II.

Police tweeted a photo of their bomb disposal team poised to make it safe.

Authorities still discover more more than 2,000 tonnes of live munitions every year - more than 70 years after the war ended.

Thousands of unexploded war time bombs still lie beneath cities in Germany.

Bomb disposal experts were able to successfully remove the detonator just after 1 p.m. and destroy it in a small controlled explosion.

Flights were not disrupted, but public transport to the airport was.
