A large number of high-profile music videos have been defaced on Youtube; which has now fallen victim to potential hackers.

Apparently, firstly it was thought that the hack is associated with YouTube, but when YouTube's parent company Google was asked for a comment, it referred to Vevo.

Earlier today some artists that are under the Vevo umbrella had their YouTube videos compromised, with many being defaced. All the video images have been altered and are now replaced with a still from the Netflix show - Casa de Papel, which shows a masked-gang holding firearms.

One of the defaced videos was "Despacito".

Many other popular super hit music videos have been affected, including songs from Chris Brown, Shakira, Selena Gomez, Drake, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift.

However, things would get mixed up when Ronda finally got a pinfall on Stephanie only to get yanked out of the ring by Triple H . That didn't sit well with Ronda as she eventually was able to make it back into the ring and taunted "The Game" to step to her.

The videos were taken down for a short period of time before returning to the platform. "We are working to reinstate all videos affected and (for) our catalogue to be restored to full working order". And today, their account was hacked by a duo going by the names Prosox and Kuroi'sh.

The BBC reports that a Twitter account appearing to belong to one of the hackers posted: "It's just for fun, I just use [the script] "youtube-change-title-video" and I write "hacked".

Even, in a media release, the Youtube Spokesperson confirmed and said that "After seeing unusual upload activity on a handful of Vevo channels, we worked quickly with our partner to disable access while they investigate the issue".

Although it wasn't at fault, YouTube is unlikely to reciprocate that love. It's unclear whether the hackers gained access to individual accounts or if there was a wider exploit with Vevo accounts, according to the Verge. Overall, the hacker did it and they were out without leaving any trace so far.
