Gary got tapped to caddie for Jack at this year's event, and on the final hole of the Par-3 course at Augusta National, Jack let Gary take dead aim - and he did not let him down!

So excited was Finau that he took off in a dead sprint, first forward, then backward, and that's when it went wrong.

In a moment, a celebration turned into a scary moment for Salt Lake City native Tony Finau during the Masters Par-3 contest Wednesday in Augusta, Georgia. That's when he caught his left foot in the turf and fell awkwardly. That came from Nicklaus' 15-year-old grandson, Gary Nicklaus Jr., nicknamed "G.T.", who aced the ninth hole and brought his 78-year-old grandfather to tears.

The Watson Watch was officially on when he birdied four of the five holes playing alongside two other giants of the game: Gary Player and Jack Nicklaus, who shot a sporty four-under of his own to tie for third.

Nicklaus called it the "No. 1" moment in his golf career, which included winning 18 majors.

We talked three days ago and I asked [G.T.], 'Do you want to hit a ball on No. 9?' I said, 'You're going to make a hole-in-one.

But the day belonged to Watson, who retired from the tournament in 2016.

The Masters Par 3 Contest this year was headlined, as it is every year, by the legend's group.

"What I did didn't make any difference to me. I mean what a day".
