Zlatan Ibrahimovic refused to rule out his chances of playing for Sweden in the World Cup on Friday as he launched his Major League Soccer career with the Los Angeles Galaxy. The 36-year-old Swedish player recently severed his contract with United and moved to the USA to play at Major League Soccer (MLS). "I know I am 37 [sic] but when I came to England they all said I was old and I came in a wheelchair".

"This thing was supposed to happen a couple of years before but it didn't", he added.

"I made a decision to sign with Galaxy because I think it's the right place for me", he said on the club's website.

"Tomorrow is a big game and I'm already involved so I feel excited", Ibrahimovic told a news conference ahead of Saturday's match against new cross town rivals Los Angeles FC.

"He knows how he had it and he took the first step from this generation to MLS".

But he showed little sign of rustiness with two trademark strikes that showed just why Galaxy were so keen to bring the veteran to America.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic could make his Galaxy debut against LAFC this weekend.

The 36-year-old spent most of this campaign on the sidelines due to an injury he sustained towards the back-end of last season.

Facebook Announces Makeover To Privacy Tools Amid Criticism Of Data Policies
Facebook makes money by, among other things, harvesting user data and sharing it with app developers and advertisers. The social media giant's stock has fallen 18% since the Cambridge Analytica news broke earlier this month.

"It was very easy, LA called and I answered".

"They are the most successful club in the U.S., the MLS, and I think it is the right environment for me".

Ibrahimovic helped United to three trophies in 2016-17, with match-winning efforts netted in the Community Shield and EFL Cup final.

But now Ibrahimovic, 36, says he is thinking about coming back into the squad for Russian Federation despite playing no part in qualification. When I got my injury it was a new situation from top to bottom and I felt my body, I was laying in bed and couldn't move. "I just want to go out there, smell the grass, appreciate every time I put my shoes on, just to touch the ball, kick it, to pass it, to run".

"Finally I'm here and I'm excited, looking forward to play".

"When we finished training today I just wanted to continue".

"If they don't know me, I will make sure that they know me", he said with a grin.
