Rumor: Next Assassin's Creed Game To Be Out In 2019 And Will Be Set In Greece

By now, fans of the Assassin's Creed series have become accustomed to a steady flow of leaks pre-empting the official announcements of each game in the series.

It would appear that at one point Ancient Greece was in line to make an appearance in "Assassin's Creed Origins" and now forms the backdrop for a separate game instead.

If the latest rumours are to believed it seems as if Ubisoft are working on a follow-up to be released next year and which will be set in Ancient Greece.

Assassin's Creed 2019 is said to have been in full production since early 2017, and is shooting for a fall 2019 release.

Bailey did not appear on the broadcast, as has been tradition in the past. In December, the Academy adopted a code of conduct for its members.

That's according to video game researcher and WWG writer Liam Robertson, who cites "several sources linked to [franchise publisher] Ubisoft". We don't yet know what it's going to be called, or even its internal codename (Origins' codename was Empire).

Ubisoft has announced that Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at $29.99 Dollars. The game is also reported to be set in the country of Greece for the very first time in the franchise's history.

As you'd expect there's no sign of a Switch version, but apparently Ubisoft are considering a spin-off or a port of an older title for Nintendo's console.
