Counselors deputy wanted Nikolas Cruz institutionalized long before Florida school massacre

Broward County Sheriffs' officials on Monday arrested 18-year-old Zachary Cruz, the brother of the Parkland school shooter, for trespassing onto Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, the Palm Beach Post reported.

At the time when school officials said they would initiate Baker Act commitment proceedings against Mr. Cruz, he apparently did not own any weapon other than a pellet gun. Zachary Cruz was being held on a $25 bond, while his brother, Nikolas Cruz is charged with 17 counts of murder and 17 counts of attempted murder, and has no bond, county records showed.

Broward County Public Schools shows school resource officer Scot Peterson.

School officials had previously recommended accused Florida gunman Nikolas Cruz should be institutionalized but never acted upon it before the massacre that killed 17 people last month, documents say.

The documents do not say why Cruz was not committed under the Baker Act or whether he may not have qualified for other reasons. The Baker Act gave Peterson the authority to give such recommendation.

Apple to host surprise education-focused media event on March 27
Still, it's held five events in March, so we suspected an invite was coming for some sort of event in the spring. Today, March 16, Apple sent journalists an invite to an event March 27, likely to show off some new products.

The documents, provided by mental health facility Henderson Behavioral Health, reportedly described disturbing examples of Cruz's behavior, such as cutting his arm after breaking up with his girlfriend, telling a classmate that he wanted to buy a gun and use it, and telling another that he threw up after drinking gasoline.

The FBI is taking the blame for not acting on the situation regarding Nikolas Cruz. A tipster also warned the Federal Bureau of Investigation of "the potential of him conducting a school shooting". The alleged trespassing was captured on CCTV, the report states.

Zachary Cruz, who Broward County officials said has no ties to the area, was interviewed by detectives from multiple law enforcement agencies after the February 14 massacre, according to police records. "(Cruz) states that he is better now, reports that he is no longer lonely and states that his grades have gone back up".

He faces the death penalty if convicted, but defence lawyer Melisa McNeill said he would plead guilty in return for a life prison sentence.

Zachary Cruz has been living with a family friend, Rocxanne Deschamps, in Lantana since the death of his mother in November.
